Whenever cranes are used on site proper planning is essential to ensure safety during lifting. Regulation 8 of Loler requires all lifting operations to be properly planned before being carried out. In a CONTRACT LIFT the crane hire company will plan the lift, suitable crane, specify the slinging and signaling arrangements, supervise the lift and be responsible for the lifting operation. The Crane hire company will supply the Method Statement and Risk Assessment.

Insurance Cover

We carry full insurance cover including insuring your goods being lifted up the value of £ 25,000.00. We have hired in plant insurance up to £ 5,000,000 as well as employers and Public Liability Insurance. If you are hiring the crane only you will be responsible for ensuring you have adequate insurance in place to cover the risks on site.

What Do We Lift?

We regularly lift Containers 20 and 40ft, Cabins, Roof Trusses, Steel RSJ’s, Hot Tubs, Palletised goods, Packs of Building Blocks and Bricks using a block grab if required. We can Lift and fix Beam and Block Floors if required, Air Conditioning Units, Generators, Tanks, Boats and Caravans. Also Roofing material felt and Cladding Sheets.
